The Markham-Nathan Fund for Social Justice is deeply concerned about the challenges people and social justice organizations are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We created the COVID-19 Emergency Grant to address these challenges. Due to the generous support of our donors we were able to give out many grants. (Each grant was up to $2000.)
Social justice organizations could apply for this grant, even if they had already received a MNF Spring or Fall Grant from us.
The COVID-19 Emergency Grant Recipients in 2020 are:
Indian Orchard Citizens Council
Undoing Racism Organizing Collective of Western Mass (UROC)
Springfield Climate Justice Coalition
Trans Asylum Seeker Support Network
Springfield No One Leaves /Nadie Se Mude
The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice
Massachusetts Jobs with Justice
Holyoke Food and Equity Collective
A big thanks to our donors for making our work possible.
