Resilient Community Arts is a non-profit arts organization offering classes, drop-in studio time, after-school programming, womxn’s support groups, and community outreach for folks of all ages and backgrounds within the Pioneer Valley.

The spring MNF funds will be used towards our first ever Artist-Activist Collective. The Collective will be focusing on connecting community organizers to the visual arts as a mobilizer for justice, and helping visual artists find impactful ways to incorporate activism into their work. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ participants will be  prioritized during the Open Call application process.  Participants will meet biweekly in the RCA studio, and follow reflective formats to aid in collaboration to design action-based projects, centered around needs identified through their group reflections and larger community listening sessions. These actions will intersect the arts and social justice efforts. Each action will have components of public engagement within the Valley, measurable outcomes, collaborative efforts and exploratory artistic formats. The Collective will organize at least two action-events between the May-August timeline. This will serve as a pilot program to later run 2 sessions of the Collective in 2023, including a different cohort of artist-activists in each session.”
